FlySky FS-i4X + FS-A6: specs
A 4-channel 2.4 GHz transmitter (FS-i4X, listed by the maker for fixed-wing, glider and boat models) with a 6-channel PWM receiver (FS-A6), both using the maker's AFHDS 2A protocol.

Pinout
We don't publish a pin table for this part: no official source we could verify gives one. Check the labels printed on your module, and see the notes below.
The maker's pages give no pin table for the receiver.
Build with it
Project ideas for the FlySky FS-i4X + FS-A6. Each link opens Soldr with the prompt filled in; Soldr assigns the pins, checks power and shows how to wire every part.
- Channel pulse display: The Uno's 5 V pin is inside the receiver's 4.0 V to 6.5 V range and the sketch times the PWM pulse on each input. The maker page gives no signal voltage level for the receiver output pins; measure it with a multimeter before connecting it to any 3.3 V board. Learning project. The transmitter takes 4 AA cells (maker: 1.5AA x 4); the AA cells in the parts power it.
- Radio-controlled pan mount: Four NiMH cells are about 4.8 V nominal, inside the receiver's 4.0 V to 6.5 V range and at the 4.8 V the SG90 maker page lists. The servo's stall current is not documented, so keep the load light. Learning project. The battery holder's two leads go to the plus and minus pins of a spare receiver channel header through jumper wires. The transmitter takes 4 AA cells (maker: 1.5AA x 4); the AA cells in the parts power it.
- RC lamp switch: The Uno measures the channel pulse width and switches the relay input; the relay carries only the low-voltage 12 V strip supply. Measure the strip's current with a multimeter before connecting it, and compare it with the 2 A rating of the 12 V adapter and do not exceed the relay module's printed DC contact rating. Learning project. The transmitter takes 4 AA cells (maker: 1.5AA x 4); the AA cells in the parts power it.
Common mistakes
- Supply the receiver with 4.0 V to 6.5 V only; a 2S LiPo (about 7.4 V) is above the maker's range (source).
- The maker page lists the transmitter as 4 to 10 channels with 4 as the default, while the receiver has 6 PWM outputs (source: link and link).
- The 500 to 1500 m range is 'in the air'; near the ground it will be shorter, so range-test first. The maker page gives no signal voltage level for the receiver output pins; measure it with a multimeter before connecting it to any 3.3 V board. (source)
Not covered by the official source
- The maker pages give no receiver current draw and no pin table.
- No source states any 2.4 GHz use rules for this set, so none are given.
