Elecrow ESP32 2.4 inch LCD board: specs and pinout
Elecrow's 2.4 inch ESP32 touchscreen display board: an ESP32-WROOM-32-N4 module behind a 320 x 240 resistive-touch TFT, with a TF card slot, a speaker output and several 4-pin HY2.0 ports. Elecrow lists it for hobby cryptocurrency solo mining; this page covers the board only, and it also runs as a general ESP32 display board. Its 4-pin ports need an HY2.0 cable that is not sold here, so the ideas below use only the board and a microSD card.

Pinout
The pin table is from Elecrow's CrowPanel ESP32 2.4-inch HMI wiki (model DIS03024H). Its specifications and interface list are identical to this board's product page and Elecrow's miner wiki page uses that hardware, but Elecrow does not state that the two share one circuit board. The port supply voltage is not published.
| Pin | Function | Voltage | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GPIO_D | IO25 and IO32 (digital and analog I/O, HY2.0 4-pin) | IO25 drives the LED in the wiki example | source Pin Out table | |
| UART1 | RX = IO16, TX = IO17 (HY2.0 4-pin) | source Pin Out table | ||
| I2C | SDA = IO22, SCL = IO21 (HY2.0 4-pin) | source Pin Out table | ||
| SPK | IO26 (speaker output, PH2.0 2-pin) | The board has a power amplifier chip circuit for the speaker | source Pin Out table | |
| TF card slot (SPI) | MOSI = IO23, MISO = IO19, SCK = IO18 (printed SDK in the table), CS = IO5 | source Pin Out table | ||

Build with it
Project ideas for the Elecrow ESP32 2.4 inch LCD board. Each link opens Soldr with the prompt filled in; Soldr assigns the pins, checks power and shows how to wire every part.
- Touch and graphics demo: Elecrow's wiki sets up TFT_eSPI 2.5.0 and LVGL 8.3.3 for this board (TFT pins MISO12 MOSI13 SCLK14 CS15 DC2 BL27, touch chip-select 33), so a touch UI needs no extra parts. Learning project.
- Touch-point logger to microSD: The wiki gives the TF slot SPI pins (MOSI IO23, MISO IO19, SCK IO18, CS IO5). Check the card format the SD library expects before logging.
- Wi-Fi network scanner screen: The ESP32 module scans Wi-Fi networks and the touch screen can page through the list; the board needs only its USB power. Learning project.
Common mistakes
- Using other library versions than the wiki's: the examples are written for the esp32 board package 2.0.14 or 2.0.15, LVGL 8.3.3 and TFT_eSPI 2.5.0, and a TFT_eSPI installed from the library manager needs its User_Setup.h edited for this board (source: link, Requirements and Install Libraries).
- Skipping touch calibration: the screen is resistive, and the wiki's touch examples load calibration data with lcd.setTouch(calData) before reading touches (source: link, Example 5: Initialize the touch).
- Feeding it less than the rated supply: Elecrow lists an external supply of 5 V at 2 A, so a weak USB port can brown out Wi-Fi and the backlight (source: link, Specification table).
Not covered by the official source
- The Elecrow product page checked is the 2-pack; its specification table is used for the single board.
- The 5 V or 3.3 V level on the HY2.0 ports is not stated.
- Supply current, flash and PSRAM sizes beyond the module name, and the touch controller part number are not given; the TFT_eSPI setup lists a touch chip-select (33) only.
- The miner software is third-party; its hash rate is a vendor claim and is not used.
- The 4-pin HY2.0 ports (UART1, GPIO_D, I2C) need an HY2.0 cable; it is not sold here, so sensor ideas on those ports were removed. The wiki's example uses a Crowtail DHT20 on the I2C port, not a DHT22.
