WT32-ETH01 EVO: specs and pinout
A Wireless-Tag development board with an RJ45 Ethernet port (DM9051 Ethernet MAC chip), PoE input through an external step-down module, and two 15-pin 2.54 mm headers, used to put a project on a wired network. The datasheet block diagram shows a WT32C3-S5 module connected to the Ethernet chip over SPI; the datasheet does not name the processor chip.

Pinout
Pin names, voltages and remarks are copied from the Wireless-Tag WT32-ETH01 EVO Datasheet V2.0 (headers A and B, pages 4-5). The EVO differs from the original WT32-ETH01 (different Ethernet chip and header), so original-board documents are not used.

Build with it
Project ideas for the WT32-ETH01 EVO. Each link opens Soldr with the prompt filled in; Soldr assigns the pins, checks power and shows how to wire every part.
- Wired temperature logger: The probe data line goes to one of the 3.3 V-TTL IO pins on header B (IO_18 or IO_19) and readings go out over Ethernet; the USB serial board connects to TXD0 and RXD0 on header B to flash it. A learning project.
- Wired doorbell notifier: A push button between a 3.3 V-TTL IO pin (for example IO_18 on header B) and GND, read with the internal pull-up, triggers a message over Ethernet; no level shifting is needed for a plain switch.
- Wired status display: The OLED runs from the 3.3 V pins and uses two of the free 3.3 V-TTL IO pins on header B (IO_0, IO_18, IO_19) to show an IP address or a counter; the datasheet does not say which pins have hardware I2C, so use software I2C or check your firmware.
Common mistakes
- Power the board from only one of the 5 V and 3.3 V inputs: the maker says the supply is 5 V or 3V3, only one of them (source: link, Power characterization, p.7).
- PoE needs an external step-down module: the datasheet says the RJ45 port has PoE input that requires one, and the POE+ pin carries 48 V (source: link, Tab.1 p.4; Tab.3 p.5). Do not connect 48 V to the 5 V or 3V3 pins.
- IO pins are 3.3 V-TTL: do not drive them from 5 V logic (source: link, Tab.2 p.4, Tab.3 p.5).
Not covered by the official source
- The EVO datasheet does not state operating current, operating temperature, flash size or the processor chip name; those values are not given. The block diagram names a WT32C3-S5 module; the processor chip is not otherwise stated.
- Header B pin 12 is marked NC in the table but its remark says 5V input; both are shown as printed.
- The schematic page and the Figure 1 photo are not reproduced here.
