## Pinout
We don't publish a pin table for this part: no official source we could verify gives one. Check the labels printed on your module, and see the notes below.

## Common mistakes

- Reading the 11 kg/cm torque as the 4.8 V figure: the page gives 9.4 kg/cm at 4.8 V and 11 kg/cm at 6.0 V ([source](https://towerpro.com.tw/product/mg996r/))
- Under-sizing the supply for stall: the page lists a 1400 mA stall current ([source](https://towerpro.com.tw/product/mg996r/))
- Running outside 0-55 C: the page gives the temperature range as 0-55 C ([source](https://towerpro.com.tw/product/mg996r/))

## What we could not confirm

- No official datasheet; specs come from the product page only.
- Rotation range (0-180 deg) and pulse width range are not on the product page.
- Stall torque at 4.8 V and 6 V, speed and weight are page values from the manufacturer's listing, not a PDF datasheet.
- Pinout withheld: the TowerPro MG996R page states no wire colours or pin order (it gives only a servo wire length of 32 cm), so no official pinout is available.
- Listing wording ('signal yellow/orange, power red, ground brown/black', power '5-6 V external') is convention and the listing's 4.8-7.2 V operating voltage and 10 kg-cm at 6 V differ from the TowerPro page (4.8-6.6 V, 11 kg/cm at 6 V); the page values are used.
