## Pinout
We don't publish a pin table for this part: no official source we could verify gives one. Check the labels printed on your module, and see the notes below.

The module board is not covered by an official document, so no header order is given here. Chip-level facts above come from the Bosch BMP180 data sheet.

## Build with it
Project ideas for the BMP180 pressure sensor (GY-68). Each link opens Soldr with the prompt filled in; Soldr assigns the pins, checks power and shows how to wire every part.

- [Weather station display](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20pressure%20and%20temperature%20display%20with%20an%20ESP32%2C%20a%20BMP180%20pressure%20sensor%20module%20and%20a%200.96%20inch%20OLED): Both run from 3.3 V on the ESP32 I2C bus, inside the chip's 3.6 V limit.
- [Altitude display](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20simple%20altitude%20display%20with%20a%20Raspberry%20Pi%20Pico%2C%20a%20BMP180%20pressure%20sensor%20module%20and%20a%200.96%20inch%20OLED): The Pico is a 3.3 V board. Altitude is derived from pressure and needs a sea-level reference; a learning project.
- [Pressure and humidity logger](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20an%20indoor%20pressure%20and%20humidity%20logger%20with%20an%20ESP32%2C%20a%20BMP180%20pressure%20sensor%20module%20and%20a%20DHT22%20sensor): Pressure over I2C and humidity from a separate one-wire sensor; log both over Wi-Fi.

## Common mistakes

- Chip supply is 1.8-3.6 V and its absolute maximum is 4.25 V (source: [link](https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/BST-BMP180-DS000-09.pdf), Tables 1-2). The module's regulator and I2C level handling are undocumented, so power it from 3.3 V and use a 3.3 V I2C bus.
- I2C needs pull-up resistors of 2.2-10 k (typ 4.7 k) (source: [link](https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/BST-BMP180-DS000-09.pdf), Figure 2 p.10); check whether your module has them before adding more.
- The raw readings must be compensated with the calibration data stored in the chip EEPROM; uncompensated values are not pressure (source: [link](https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/BST-BMP180-DS000-09.pdf), section 3.4 p.13 (calibration coefficients) and section 3.5 p.14 (compensation maths)).

## Not covered by the official source

- Module board not documented: pin order, regulator and pull-ups unknown.
- Listing does not state the supply voltage; none is claimed.
