## Chip pins
These are the pins of the chip on the module, from the chip datasheet. The module's own header may label or expose them differently.

No official maker document for this 30-pin board is available. Only ESP32 chip facts apply: header order, regulator and CP2102 wiring are not covered. The four rows below are chip pins GPIO34, 35, 36 and 39; GPIO37 and GPIO38 are not listed because no document shows the 30-pin header carries them.

| Pin | Function | Voltage | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GPIO34 (VDET_1) | ADC1_CH6, RTC_GPIO4 | | Chip-level: pin type I (input only) on the ESP32 chip; the board header label for this GPIO is not documented | source Table 2-1 Pin Description (p.14) |
| GPIO35 (VDET_2) | ADC1_CH7, RTC_GPIO5 | | Chip-level: pin type I (input only) on the ESP32 chip; the board header label for this GPIO is not documented | source Table 2-1 Pin Description (p.14) |
| GPIO36 (SENSOR_VP) | ADC1_CH0, RTC_GPIO0 | | Chip-level: pin type I (input only) on the ESP32 chip; the board header label for this GPIO is not documented | source Table 2-1 Pin Description (p.14) |
| GPIO39 (SENSOR_VN) | ADC1_CH3, RTC_GPIO3 | | Chip-level: pin type I (input only) on the ESP32 chip; the board header label for this GPIO is not documented | source Table 2-1 Pin Description (p.14) |

## Build with it
Project ideas for the ESP32 30-pin board (CP2102). Each link opens Soldr with the prompt filled in; Soldr assigns the pins, checks power and shows how to wire every part.

- [Servo door sign](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20Wi-Fi%20controlled%20flag%20sign%20with%20a%2030-pin%20ESP32%20board%20and%20an%20SG90%20micro%20servo): The servo gets its own supply from the breadboard power module with grounds joined, not from a GPIO.
- [Room light logger](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20room%20light%20logger%20with%20a%2030-pin%20ESP32%20board%20and%20an%20LDR%20light%20sensor%20module): A learning project reading the analog output on an ADC1 pin; keep it at or below 3.3 V.
- [Weather display](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20temperature%20and%20humidity%20display%20with%20a%2030-pin%20ESP32%20board%2C%20a%20DHT22%20and%20a%200.96%20inch%20OLED): DHT22 on one digital pin and the OLED on I2C from the 3.3 V rail.
- [Real-time clock logger](https://app.soldr.ai/?prompt=I%20want%20to%20build%20a%20timestamped%20temperature%20logger%20with%20a%2030-pin%20ESP32%20board%2C%20a%20DS18B20%20probe%20and%20a%20DS3231%20real-time%20clock%20module): The DS3231 uses I2C and the probe uses a single data pin; a learning project.

## Common mistakes

- Do not feed 5 V into a GPIO: the input high level maximum is VDD + 0.3 V (source: [link](https://www.espressif.com/sites/default/files/documentation/esp32_datasheet_en.pdf), Table 5-3, p.52).
- GPIO34, 35, 36 and 39 are input-only; they cannot drive an output (source: [link](https://www.espressif.com/sites/default/files/documentation/esp32_datasheet_en.pdf), Table 2-1 pin description, p.14).
- Wi-Fi transmit draws about 240 mA, so use a supply rated for 500 mA or more (source: [link](https://www.espressif.com/sites/default/files/documentation/esp32_datasheet_en.pdf), Table 5-2 p.51, Table 5-4 p.52).

## Not covered by the official source

- No official board document: pinout and power circuitry unknown.
- Which ESP32 module is fitted is not stated, so chip temperature range is not given.
